Biography:
Dr. Yang is currently a professor and the director of Medical Physics Program at the University of Science and Technology of China. He is also the associate dean of the Department of Engineering and Applied Physics. He received a bachelor degree from Tsinghua University, a PhD degree from Georgia Institute of Technology, and completed his medical physics residency at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He was certified by the American Board of Radiology in therapeutic medical physics in 2013. His main research interests are image guided radiation therapy and the automation of radiation therapy. Currently he serves on several committees in AAPM, IOMP etc.

What You Can Expect in the Project:
In this project, students will learn the fundamentals of medical imaging technologies, radiation therapy, and radiobiomedical engineering. They will gain proficiency in medical image processing and analysis through techniques such as CT, MRI, PET, and ultrasound, and further explore the automation systems in radiation therapy
