Biography:
I am now a full professor of Anhui Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Hefei Institutes of Physical Science, Chinese Academy of Science, China. Additionally, I serve as an adjunct professor of University of Science and Technology of China, where I teach graduate students about the methods for data-driven ecological research. I has authored a book Data-Intensive Ecology.
Research Interest:
My recent research interest lies in data-intensive ecology and ecoinformatics, with a particular focus on leveraging data-driven approaches to address complex ecological challenges.
What You Can Expect in the Project:
Participants will develop proficiency in R for a diverse range of data analysis tasks relevant to research in biology and ecology. The core skills include: 1) data retrieval, management, and visualization; 2) data analysis using machine learning methods; and 3) modeling complex patterns and ecological processes.
Desired skill and background:
Warmly invite students with a background in ecology and computer science to join my research group!
