Dr Zang, professor and doctoral supervisor of ASIPP. Since 2005, has focused on Thomson Scattering (TS) diagnostics and related physics research at ASIPP, currently serving as Leader of the EAST Diagnostics Group and Leader of the TS Diagnostics Group. Developed EAST core and edge Thomson scattering diagnostic systems. As the first or corresponding author, published more than 30 articles in important fusion journals and undertaken major projects in many countries. As the primary person in charge of the completion of the program, he was awarded the Prize for Outstanding Scientific & Technological Achievements in the Year 2018 by the Chinese Academy of Sciences. As the first contributor, he was awarded the First Prize for Scientific & Technological Progresses in the Year 2021 by Anhui Provincial Government.

Thomson scattering diagnostics, Optics, Lasers, Electronics, Electron heat transport, and tokamak edge physics.

Students will join either the Technical Research Group or the Physics Research Group based on their interests. In the Technical Research Group, students will engage in research related to EAST Thomson diagnostic optics or electronics. Meanwhile, the Physics Research Group will focus on analyzing data from Thomson scattering diagnostics. All internships will be supervised by me, and outstanding participants will have the opportunity to be admitted to the doctoral program.

We welcome all students with an interest in the subject.
