Biography:
Professor Xiang-Yang Li is a full professor and holds the distinguished chair professorship at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). He currently serves as the Executive Dean of the School of Computer Science and Technology, a standing director of the ACM China Council, a standing director of CCF. He is also responsible for several joint industry-academia laboratories (NIO, Alibaba, Huawei). He has been honored with the titles of ACM Fellow, IEEE Fellow, and ACM Distinguished Scientist.

Wireless Networking/Mobile Computing/RFID, Privacy and Security, Cyber-Physical Systems and IoT, and interdisciplinary Research

1.Wireless Sensing: Utilizing the ubiquitous wireless signals on mobile devices to sense the surrounding environment and behaviors of users.
2.Edge Computing: Deploying algorithm and AI model that enables IoT devices to process data quickly at the network edge.
3.Privacy and Security: Investigating and protecting the privacy and security concerns during the utilization of IoT devices and AI models.
4.Intelligent Optimization: Learning-based methods for mixed integer linear optimization (high-dimensional, sparse, large-scale).
