Biography:

Duan Yajun, professor and doctoral supervisor, recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and dual-appointed expert at the First Affiliated Hospital. The head of the Atherosclerosis Research Team at the Anhui Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases. Pro. Duan has been in charge of projects such as the National Science Foundation of China’s Distinguished Young Scholars Project, General Project, and Key Support Project of the Regional Innovation Development Joint Fund. She has published over 100 SCI papers in internationally top journals such as Nat. Commun., Cell Rep., EMBO Rep., J Hepatol., APSB, ATVB, and Br J Pharmacol.

Research Interest:

Devoted to the research on the mechanisms of the occurrence and development of atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases, the key target Nogo in the “liver-vascular” dialogue in atherosclerosis was discovered, and the improvement effect of “dietary intervention” on atherosclerosis and the resulting cardiac injury was studied, laying the foundation for the development of new strategies and methods for clinical diagnosis and treatment.
