I obtained my PhD degree in Geoscience in 2017 at the University of Tübingen, Germany. From 2017-2023, I conducted a comprehensive research program involving hydrology, geochemistry, mineralogy, X-ray imaging and spectroscopy, and modelling to understand controls on the release of metal(loid)s at one of the biggest abandoned mine remediation sites in Canada. Research outcomes were in published in a series of journals (e.g., Science, Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta), with global implications towards mine-waste management and mine-drainage prediction.

My research interest is to combine field, laboratory, and modelling techniques to understand the transport of metal(loid)s and non-metals in mining environment.

To understand the electrochemical and mineralogical controls on the removal of metal(loid)s and sulfate during acid mine drainage treatment through electrocoagulation
