Biography:
Kun Qu, Ph.D, currently serves as a Professor and PhD Supervisor at the School of Life Sciences and Medicine, University of Science and Technology of China. He undertakes the National Innovation Talent Youth Project and the National Science Foundation of China’s Outstanding Youth Fund Project. He is also a standing committee member of the first session of the Artificial Intelligence and Life Sciences Professional Committee under the Chinese Society of Bioinformatics (in preparation). Dedicated to the development of technologies in single-cell genomics and spatial omics, he systematically studies the immunological pathogenesis of major diseases such as infections, tumors, and autoimmune diseases. He has published over 60 papers in academic journals including Nature, Nature Methods, Cell, and Cancer Cell, with more than 10,000 citations on Google Scholar and an H-index of 45.
Research Interest:
1) Precision medicine, personalized regulome of cancer and autoimmune diseases.
2) Single cell multi-OMICS technology development.
3) Biomedical big data analysis and bioinformatics software system development and application.
What You Can Expect in the Project:
Specific research areas include:
1.Developing ultra-high-throughput single-cell multi-omics and spatial transcriptomics sequencing technologies based on second-generation sequencing, offering tools for multidimensional, systematic acquisition of omics information on major diseases.
2.Integrating deep learning and artificial intelligence to develop algorithms and software for the analysis of large-scale biomedical data, providing algorithmic support for in-depth analysis of massive disease omics datasets.
3.Utilizing omics technologies and data analysis algorithms to investigate the causes and evolution of significant diseases, including cancer and autoimmune diseases.
